Ans :--- Dr. Priti Rane replies:
Dear Mrs. Pallavi,
no one can predict when the baby inside the womb may create a problem. Hence the only best thing is to keep your cool and have a supportive partner. Avoid Pitching and elective induction. Try walking during labour. Avoid an epidural and medication. If possible request the monitoring to be done intermittently.

6 )  I am a 28 year old married man. My baby is just three months old. My friends keep giving me advice on what to do and what not do. I would be obliged if you could tell me as to when my baby's condition is serious and it is time to call the pediatrician?

                                              Mr. Shankar Lingam, Chennai

Ans :--- Dr. Priti Rane replies:
Dear Mr. Shankar,
if the temperature of your baby, under 3 months of age, rises over 100.2 F or under 97F call your doctor immediately. Projectile vomiting, severe diarrohea (green, foul smelling, loose bowel movements containing mucus), poor appetite or a refusal to feed, unusual behaviour, extreme lethargy, inconsolable crying, few wet diapers or bowel movements, etc all these are the signs indicating you to consult your paediatrician.
