Only the adverse effect of ordinary soap is it removes some natural oils from the skin, as soap is alkaline, it neutralizes the natural acidic film on the skin. The dryness however can easily be countered by using a moisturizing cream after washing with soap. According to skin type there are few other types of soaps are available in the market such as-

*Medicated soap- contains anti-septic (natural/synthetic).
*pH soaps – pH controlled soaps do not disturb the pH of the skin.
*Moisturizing soap – same effect as ordinary soap.
*Super fatted soaps – contains fatty materials to prevent excessive striping of surface oils and also deposits an oily film to replace some of the natural oils, removed in the cleaning process. This is best for dry skin.
*Transparent soaps- expensive and has same effect like ordinary soap.
*Liquid soap- expensive and same effect like ordinary soaps.
*Perfumed soap- contains natural or synthetic perfumes smells good but in some people causes allergic reaction.
